The hotel was really good. Well appointed and comfortable room. Very helpful staff, very slick transfers to and from the terminal with courteous, efficient, friendly coach drivers. The only issue we had was with the food in the restaurant. We found it overpriced for mediocre food and poor value for money. The rest of our stay though was brilliant and we would definitely stay here again.Mr Webster (Clayton Hotel)

The Clayton has a very handy location right on the airport grounds, with easy access to the terminals. There's a stylish bar, your choice from the tempting set menu at the restaurant, and a gym for all guests to use.
Getting to the airport
The hotel is within walking distance of the terminals or there's a 24-hour shuttle to all terminals – save you having to carry your luggage!
You can walk to each terminal. It's 5 minutes to Terminals 1 and 3, and 16 minutes to Terminal 2. We'd recommend taking the 5-minute shuttle though, to avoid crossing the busy roads.
Arriving by train? The closest station is Manchester airport train station. If you give the Clayton a call when you get to the station they'll send the shuttle to pick you up – it's included.
Check in from 2pm. Check out by 12 noon.
Overnight parking is £15 per car. If you want to leave your car for the whole of your trip, search for ‘airport hotels with parking'. It's often cheaper to book your hotel and parking together.
