Collection from Belfast airport

Picking up a passenger from the airport? You can use the major road and motorway network around Belfast to get there, with the following directions:

  • From Belfast – Turn off at junction 5 of the M2 northbound, and follow the A57 for seven miles.
  • From the north – Follow the M2 southbound to junction 5, then join the A57 for seven miles.
  • From the south and west – As you drive up the M1 northbound turn off at junction 9 towards Antrim and follow the A26 to the airport.
  • From Dublin – Driving along the M1 northbound, take the Bypass at Newry and continue to the A1. You can then follow the M1 westbound and turn off at junction 9 onto the A26, which passes the airport.

The excellent signposting and proximity of important roads ensures that the airport is easy to find, but if you’d like the extra convenience of sat nav, type in the postcode: BT29 4AB.

Parking when you get to Belfast airport

For a cost-effective and quick trip, ignore the main stay car park. Instead, head straight to the designated drop-off and pick-up zone, in front of the terminal building. It costs just £1 for a ten-minute stay and is the closest to the terminal where your passenger will arrive*.

The main stay car park costs £1.50 for 30 minutes and is further away, while you can wait for 15 minutes in the long-stay car park for free, but will then have to pay standard rates*.

If you want to avoid paying any charges, be sure to contact your passenger in advance. If they’re waiting at the pick-up zone or car park when you arrive, you’ll be able to leave quickly, whereas if you have to walk to the terminal to collect them you could be gone for longer than your allotted time.

*Prices shown correct as of August 28, 2013.
