A 10 minute transfer away

You'd certainly be happy to leave your car in the Luton Long Term car park for a very long time...possibly forever. It's the best value option within the airport grounds - you're just 10 minutes from the terminal on the shuttle bus, without really paying for the privilege. And there are plenty of security measures to keep your car safe too: entry and exit barriers, regular patrols, lighting and a fence. So really, the reason why this Luton airport parking option is called Long Stay is because your car may not want to leave...

Our customers rated Long Term on average 9/10 (5089 reviews). Read Long Term reviews.

Long Stay is one of the best-priced car parks at Luton, just 10 minutes from the airport on the included shuttle bus.

Covid-secure

The Long Stay has introduced measures designed to make your journey as safe and contact-free as possible.

You'll see social distancing signs at the car park and on the shuttle buses which you must follow. Drivers will be wearing a mask and you'll need to wear a face covering. Buses are cleaned throughout the day and there'll be fewer passengers on each one.

Need to know

Long Stay at Luton is around 10 minutes from the terminal. When you arrive, collect a ticket from the barrier and park your car. You keep your keys while you're away.

To reach the airport you'll need to take the included shuttle bus, which runs every 20-25 minutes 24 hours a day. It takes 10-12 minutes to get there.

Accessibility

There are accessible spaces throughout the car park and the bus stops are well-lit with ramps for easy access.

The buses lower and have ramps, and there's space for a wheelchair on board.

If you are taking your Blue Badge with you on holiday, let the parking team at the car park know.

Facilities

The car park has well-lit bus shelters with shuttle information screens.

Security

The car park is secured by:

  • Floodlighting
  • Perimeter fencing
  • Regular patrols
  • Security barriers

The small print

Government regulations require passengers on shuttle buses to wear a face covering. Remember to bring a face covering and have it on before you get on the bus. You'll need one for each member of your party.

Due to the ongoing redevelopment works at Luton Airport, buses to and from the airport may take longer than normal. We recommend you allow at least an extra hour for your transfer to the Airport particularly at peak times.

The peak travel times are all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday and between 4am and 9am, 1pm and 3pm and 5pm and 7pm on other days.

Help us go green! There's no need to print out your booking confirmation, show it on your mobile device.

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period of 2 hours at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £28 for the first day and £24 for each day after. This is subject to change.

If you have an electric vehicle and need a charging point there are 5 Tesla charge points and 5 type 2 tethered points in the Multi Storey car park nearby. They are free to use, but you'll have to pay for your time in the car park.

Most standard cars (not lorries) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

Getting to and from Luton airport

Arriving at the car park

Pull up to the barrier and wait for it to scan your registration and issue you with a ticket. If you aren't given a ticket, press the call button for help.

Park your car and then catch the shuttle bus to the terminal from your nearest bus stop - it's included in the price. The bus runs every 20-25 minutes, 24 hours a day, and it takes 10-12 minutes to reach the terminal.

Returning to the car park

After you land head outside to the Long Stay parking bus stop - it's right outside the terminal and will be the same place you were dropped off when you arrived.

Find your car and drive to the exit barrier – insert your ticket and the barrier will lift to let you out.
