Getting to the airport

A shuttle to the airport runs on demand from 3am to 11pm and costs £3.60 per person.

Curry-cured salmon and steak frites tempt your tastebuds. Or for something hearty, try the Peking duck croquettes or a comforting French onion gnocchi. There are vegetarian options like sweetcorn fritters that don't hold back on taste. Mains average about £19.

Bar

Lavelle Bar & Lounge – 24 hours

The bar area has a relaxed and cosy feel that invites you to sink into one of the soft sofas or comfy chairs and stay a while. It serves up classics like pizza, Caesar salad, wings, loaded fries and nachos. Pair it all with a cold beer, a soft drink, a locally crafted gin or perhaps something a little stronger from the cocktail list.

Breakfast

Lavelle's – 5am to 10am

How do you like your eggs in the morning? At Doubletree by Hilton, you can head straight to the omelette station and get yours made just the way you like it. Load it up with mushrooms and cheese, or whatever you fancy. There is also a full English buffet, including black pudding, along with cereals, fresh fruit, and continental classics like croissants, pastries and muffins.

There is a separate section for gluten-free diets, but if you have any special dietary requirements speak to a member of the team who'll be happy to help.

Continental starts at 5am and hot food is ready from 5.30am.

Things to do

Stay on track, anytime. The 24-hour gym might be small, but it is well-equipped with two Peloton™ bikes, a cable machine and a good mix of cardio and weights – and fresh towels are at the ready.

Tucked off the bar area, is a children's playroom which opens during the school holidays. It's a great space for little ones and it's packed with things to keep them busy – think colouring, blocks, foam dart boards, a PlayStation, and plenty of other games and toys. Perfect for parents who want to relax with a glass of wine, knowing the kids are entertained and close at hand.

There are computers and printers in the lobby that are free to use.

Sustainability

At DoubleTree by Hilton, sustainability is built into how things are done daily. You're encouraged to reuse towels, opt out of daily housekeeping, and use refillable toiletries and water stations.
