What's the best time of year to visit Palma?

Spring

With average temperatures in April of around 19°C, Spring is a good time to visit some of the popular beaches of the capital when they're quiet. You can also join in with the street party celebrations that happen during Easter week, enjoying the colourful processions and flamboyant costumes on display.

Summer

July and August are the hottest months in Palma, and the most popular time to visit. Temperatures average about 30°C, perfect for long days lounging by the pool or taking a dip in the sea. There are plenty of events going on, from outdoor music festivals to the Med's biggest sailing regatta, Copa del Rey.

Autumn

With temperatures still averaging in the mid twenties in October, early autumn is a great time to come to Palma if you fancy some late season sun. Although it's also the wettest month, showers tend to come and go in short bursts. If you coincide your trip with the Nit de l'Art event in September then you'll get to visit Palma's museums and galleries free of charge.

Winter

If you fancy taking advantage of some of the trekking tours or canyoning in Palma's nearby mountains, then the winter months are a good time to do so. Temperatures average around 15°C, and the almond trees that blossom from late January to March are definitely worth seeing at this time.
