Official Car Parking
The airport's own Short Stay 3 car park is just a 7-minute walk away from the terminal. Park, keep your keys and catch your flight, secure in the knowledge that your car will be protected by hourly patrols and CCTV while you're away on your well-earned break. When you get back, just walk to your car and drive off. Airport parking as simple as a trip to the shops.
It's convenient and secured - park your car and keep your keys.
At this car park you get to park yourself and keep your keys which means it's completely contact-free - no buses, just walk to the terminal.
Need to know
Drive to the barrier where your number plate will be recognised and you'll be given a ticket. The entry barrier will lift automatically, so you can drive in and park in any space - keep hold of your keys while you're away.
From the car park it's a 7-minute walk to the terminal.
On your return walk back to the car park from the terminal. Collect your car and drive to the exit barrier. Insert your ticket into the machine and the barrier will lift automatically.
We recommend taking a look at the Short Stay 1 car park which has Blue Badge bays available on a first come, first served basis.
The car park has been awarded the Park Mark and is secured by:
- Regular staff patrols
- Entry and exit barriers
The small print
Government regulations require passengers at the airport to wear a face mask. Remember to bring a face mask and have it on before you get there. You'll need one for each member of your party.
Early or late? The car park offers a 6 hour grace period at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20. Please note this is subject to change.
Help us go green! There's no need to print out your booking confirmation, just show it on your mobile device or even better try out our handy app.
Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

There used to be a facility for helping if your battery was flat. Someone could come with a booster kit, although I eg for helpnever needed it. This time, after being away over 3 weeks, my battery was flat but pressing the help button got the response that no-one could help me even though I carry jump leads. I had to beg for help from a passer by who got help for me. I am 80 years old. Something you should think about.Mr Seipel (Short Stay 3 East Midlands Airport)
