Palma is the biggest of Mallorca's cities, and the capital of the Balearic Islands does not shut down outside the peak summer months, with plenty of activities to take part in all the year round.

Here at Holiday Extras we provide airport transfers to ensure that you get to your desired destination without any hassle, whatever the season.

From religious festivals to adrenaline-pumping climbs, have a read below of our guide on seasonal activities in Palma.

Spring

During Easter week there are a whole host of rituals and events to mark the religious festival. The re-enactment of the Passion of the Christ on the streets of Palma is a powerful watch, while there are plenty of colourful processions to keep you entertained all through the week. You can also appreciate the beauty of the blossoming almond trees at this time of year.

Summer

The multiple golden beaches on Palma's shoreline are not to be missed, and what better way to cool off from the scorching summer sun than having a go at the various water activities Palma has to offer? Paddle boarding on the calm Mediterranean waters is a great way to enjoy the sights while keeping fit, while snorkelling allows you to marvel at the colourful sea life, rich in flora and fauna.

Autumn

With temperatures easing off a little, autumn is a great time to wander the picturesque Old Town streets and visit the cultural heritage sights in comfort. If you coincide your trip with the weekend of the Nit de l'Art event in September then you'll gain free entry to all Palma's museums and galleries. Adventurous types could also make the most of Palma's neighbouring mountain range with a spot of canyoning.

Winter

January sees the celebration of Palma's patron saint, Saint Sebastian, and week-long festivities including music, bonfires and feasts are enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. With this being the coolest season, why not try indoor activities such as a visit to Palma's aquarium, featuring over 700 different species? You could also pamper yourself at one of the capital's luxurious spas.

Whatever season you decide to come to Palma, remember to book your Palma airport transfers with Holiday Extras, making travelling in Mallorca one less thing to worry about.
