to the airport
Purple Parking Park and Ride at Southend Airport is a handy and reliable service that you can feel confident in parking your car with. From the moment you pull up and are greeted by the friendly staff, you know you'll be able to relax on your holiday and not have to give your vehicle a second thought. Once parked, simply jump onto the free transfer bus to the terminal, and you'll be at departures in approximately five minutes. Nice and simple Southend Airport parking - just the way we like it!
The closest off-airport car park. It's a smooth service from a familiar name.
The Purple Parking team have introduced a whole host of measures designed to make your journey as safe and contact-free as possible.
The parking office, toilets and waiting area get a deep clean twice a day and there'll be hand sanitiser throughout your journey for you to use. All of the parking team have temperature checks before they start each day and will be wearing PPE (masks and gloves). You'll be asked to wear a mask on the bus too.
Buses are cleaned throughout the day and there'll be fewer passengers per bus, but don't worry there are more running. Before you get back, your car and keys will be disinfected.
Need to know
Park in an arrivals lane and drop your keys at reception. Your car will be parked for you while you take the shuttle bus to the airport. The buses run continuously, every 10-15 minutes and take 5 minutes. They run from 4am until the last flight has landed (usually around 12.30am). The return journey is included in the price.
When you get back the bus will pick you up where you were dropped off.
There are 3 accessible parking spaces - please call us before you book to request one.
Unfortunately, the shuttle bus isn't wheelchair accessible. We'd recommend searching for a meet and greet package instead as a shuttle bus isn't required.

The small print
Government regulations require passengers on shuttle buses to wear a face mask. Remember to bring a face mask and have it on before you get on the bus. You'll need one for each member of your party.
Early or late? The car park offers a grace period of up to midnight on the date you have booked to collect your car. If you go into the next day you will be charged the standard rate of £10 per day. Please note this is subject to change.
Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).
The car park cannot accept vehicles with 8 or more seats. If you're bringing a long wheel based vehicle you'll be required to pay an additional supplement on arrival at the car park. The supplement will equal half of the total cost of the booking.
Help us go green! There's no need to print out your booking confirmation, just show it on your mobile device.
