Need to know
There's no need to worry about parking, as a member of the team will meet you in the Short Stay and park for you.
Drive to the airport and head for the terminal – we'll give you more details in your booking confirmation – then check your car in at the Meet and Greet reception in the Short Stay car park. Give the driver your keys, then walk to the terminal, 2-5 minutes away.
The driver will take your car to a secured, airport-approved car park where it will stay until you get back.
Electric vehicle charging
Electric charging is available in the Short Stay car park where they have 3-7KW (rapid) charge units. When you check in your car mention it to a member of staff and they'll be able to provide you with more details.
Electric charging is subject to availability and you may need to download the Pod Point app.
Accessibility
This service is suitable for customers with limited mobility, as a shuttle bus isn't needed.
Security
The car park is secured by:
- Entry and exit barriers monitored by CCTV
- Fencing
- Floodlighting
- 24-hour staff patrols
The small print
In August 2023, London's Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) expanded to include all terminals at Heathrow Airport. This is part of an initiative to help tackle air pollution.
If your vehicle doesn't meet ULEZ standards, you'll need to pay the daily ULEZ charge when driving through Heathrow – make sure you check before you travel.
The car park is open between 5am and 11pm.
Most standard cars (without trailers/no more than 8 seats) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 2.2m entry barrier. Double-check the height of your vehicle if you're taking a roof box.
Early or late? If you're delayed coming back, you'll need to pay for the extra parking at the car park's normal rate. The amount you'll be charged will be based on the calculated difference tracked by the car park and will be displayed on the exit barrier screen. If you come back early, we can't give you a refund on any unused time.
Getting to and from airport
Arriving at the airport
Drive up to the barrier of the Short Stay car park where your number plate will be recognised automatically and a ticket with your booking reference on will be issued.
Go up to Level 1 and enter into the Vehicle Imaging Portal. Stop at the barrier while a 360 degree image of the vehicle is taken, after which the barrier will open. Park in a dedicated Meet & Greet bay & check in your car at the Meet & Greet office.
From there, walk to the terminal, 2-5 minutes away.
Returning to the airport
Make your way back to the Meet & Greet reception on Level 1 of the Short Stay 3 car park and collect your keys.
Drive to the exit barrier and insert the ticket you were given on arrival and the barrier will open.
The car park operates between 5am and 11pm.
First time we have tried it and would definitely use it again as the best for picking up a car following an overnight flight
