What you see is what you get at the Holiday Inn
Theres no mistaking the Holiday Inn Ariel when you arrive at Heathrow - its unique, circular structure certainly stands out from the other more traditional-style Heathrow hotels. And you definitely wont be disappointed when you step inside. Its reception and shared areas are crisp and uncomplicated, but at the same time feel warm and inviting. The hotels bedrooms are much the same; bright, comfortable and equipped with everything thats needed to get a good nights sleep. With double glazed windows and blackout curtains, its easy to overlook the fact that youre at an airport and the squashy beds with choose-your-own pillows are bound to help you forget that the world exists for a few hours.
Avid planespotters should request a south-facing room when they make their booking they overlook the airstrip and offer a grandstand view of the takeoffs. That also means that anyone whos looking for a hotel close to the airport will be well catered for too: the Holiday Inn Ariel is less than two miles to the nearest terminal. Plus regular bus services depart from the front door to all terminals see our 'Getting there' tab for more details.
Come on home
The hotel has on-site parking for 90 vehicles, as well as access to offsite parking when the car park becomes full. The car park is protected by CCTV which is monitored by staff at the hotel.
We recommend the Holiday Inn Ariel for:
Peace and Quiet - Despite being so close to the airport, the Ariel is well soundproofed and we enjoyed a quiet nights sleep.
An elegant stay - Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we loved the lightwell at the centre of the unusual ring-shaped building that lets in natural light at all times of day.
A quick ride to the airport - A bus or taxi takes only 10 minutes to terminals 1 and 3.
Family-friendly: kids not only get breakfast and dinner free, they stay free too. Request a room with runway view.
Covid-secure
Clean Promise is the Holiday Inn's brand new, advanced cleaning system dedicated to making your stay as safe and contact-free as possible. When you arrive you'll find hand sanitiser for you to use and screens at reception. Both public areas and bedrooms are being cleaned more regularly.
Your room gets a deep clean with enhanced cleaners too, with emphasis on high-touch areas including light switches and remotes. You'll also get hand sanitiser and wipes to keep.
Getting to the airport
The Holiday Inn Ariel is on the Bath Road. Detailed driving instructions and a postcode for satnavs will be on your booking confirmation.
The Heathrow Hoppa shuttle bus runs regularly during the airport's opening hours. The bus stops at other hotels on the way, so it can take between 15-35 minutes between terminals 2, 3 and 4. To terminal 5, it can take 30-50 minutes.
The Hoppa costs £6 per person one way or £11 per person return.
Check in from 2pm, check out by 12 noon.
Parking
Overnight parking is available at £12 per night.
If you need parking for the whole of your stay, search for our ‘airport hotel and parking' packages. It's often cheaper to book them together than individually.
