to the airport
Holiday Extras ShortRun is our closest Park and Ride at Luton airport. Simply park up and catch the 4-minute shuttle bus to the terminal. That's closer than the official Luton airport Long Stay car park, which takes 10 minutes! For Luton airport parking that's great value, has smooth procedures and boasts top notch security, it's got to be Holiday Extras ShortRun.
One of our closest options. Keep your keys, regular fast transfers.
Need to know
When you arrive a member of ShortRun's friendly team will meet you, check you in and let you know where to park - you won't even need to get out of your car. You'll be given a ticket telling you what to do when you return, so keep it safe as you'll need to show it to the bus driver when you get back. All you need to do is park and keep your keys.
Once you've parked, catch the shuttle bus to the terminal. It runs when needed, 24 hours a day. It takes around 4 minutes to reach the terminal and is included in the price.
When you get back, catch the bus from where it dropped you off - you need to show the driver your ticket and you're away!
The car park has a number of larger bays near reception which are first come, first served. The buses are also wheelchair accessible, but there are steps up to reception.
The car park is secured by:
- Perimeter fencing
- Entry and exit barriers
- Regular patrols
The small print
Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles or large vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they are under 2.1m, 2m wide and 5m long. The car park can't accept any high-sided vehicles, minibuses, mobile homes, lorries, caravans, trailers or vehicles larger than the maximum.
Early or late? The car park offers a grace period until midnight, at their discretion. Any longer than this you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20 per day which is subject to change.
Help us go green! There's no need to print out your booking confirmation, just show it on your mobile device.
Make sure you leave plenty of time if you have lots of luggage, as you'll need to wait for a bus with more space. The bus can't accommodate large sporting equipment, so we'd recommend dropping any off with your passengers at the terminal first, then driving to the car park.
Due to the ongoing redevelopment works at Luton Airport, buses to and from the airport may take longer than normal. We recommend you allow at least an extra hour for your transfer to the Airport particularly at peak times.
