Top family destinations in Benidorm

Benidorm has so much to offer travellers of all ages. This Mediterranean city makes an especially good family getaway because it offers sun, sand and sea – three things that children adore.

When you've booked your accommodation and flights, why not take advantage of our Benidorm airport transfers, which provide a range of shuttle options to get you to your resort in comfort and at great prices.

A Mediterranean balcony

Situated between the city's Poniente and Levante beaches is lofty Balcón del Mediterr´neo. From this vantage point, you'll be provided with incredible views of the Mediterranean and the aforementioned beaches situated either side of you, as they stretch into the distance. This is a great spot, too, for taking family photographs that will be cherished forever.

Wonderful wildlife

Head to Terra Natura for the opportunity to observe animals of all kinds, including elephants, lions, tigers, reptiles, birds of prey, bugs and insects. The kids will surely enjoy the chance to watch some of the zoo's larger creatures being fed. Among other things, this wildlife centre features donkey rides and extensive play areas.

Water Parks

Keep a safe eye on the kids while they career down slides and splash around in the waters of Aqua Natura or Aqualandia. Either water park offers fun for the whole family, with pools small and large, including shallower paddling variations that are ideal for young children. Aqua Natura is also home to a small family of sea lions, with which kids can have their photograph taken.

Theme park thrills

Ride on roller coasters, slip down slides, lurk in a labyrinth and much more at Terra Mítica. This theme park transports its visitors back to the Mediterranean of antiquity, thanks to features that are based on Greek, Egyptian and Roman civilisations of yore.

Island excursion

The trip alone to Isla de Benidorm is worth it, thanks to glass-bottomed boats that enable passengers to observe ocean sea life in all its glory. Once you arrive, walk to the summit of the island's rock – a trek that takes about 45 minutes – and you'll be rewarded with marvellous views of the mainland. Naturally, since this is an island, there are plenty of opportunities to paddle and/or swim in the sea.

Of course, if you simply want to enjoy the delights of a Blue Flag beach, Benidorm has two of the Costa Blanca's very best: Poniente and Levante. Before you start planning your Benidorm itinerary, be sure to check out Holiday Extras' airport transfers. We offer a wide range of vehicle options - from shared shuttles, to private cars, coaches and fully accessible minibuses to a host of hotels and apartment complexes throughout Benidorm.
