Benidorm on a Budget
Make the most of your holiday money in Benidorm
One of the great things about Benidorm is how accessible it is. There's so much to do and you can seek out activities for any tastes – and any budget. At Holiday Extras, we're here to help you organise the best trip you can, so we've put together some tips on how to do Benidorm on a budget. We've also got our airport transfers so you don't need to fret about how to get from the airport to your accommodation – wherever that may be.
Where to stay
Finding accommodation in Benidorm on a budget can lead to some fun and adventurous places to stay. Camping is a cheap and cheerful way to save some cash – and it's a great idea given the area's sunny weather. There are loads of campsites in Benidorm: try Villasol Camping which has swimming pools, activities, restaurants and bars. Rates start at €4.95 per day. Another good idea is to look out for hostels. In Benidorm you can stay in a bungalow with pools and chill-out areas, and most hostels offer a free breakfast each morning.
What to do
Benidorm's coast is flanked by miles and miles of stunning beaches. You could spend your whole holiday exploring them, swimming in the clear seas and padding in rockpools and coves – all for free. There are also lots of options when it comes to taking in some culture. Castle Viewpoint (aka the Balcón del Mediterráneo) is perched on a rock separating Benidorm's two main beaches. It's the remains of a fortress built to ward off pirate raids in the 14th-16th centuries. The Maritime Cultural Centre is free entry and here you can learn about the history of the area's seafaring past.
What to eat
In Benidorm you're perfectly placed to sample cuisines from all over the world, from classic Mediterranean to Turkish, Swedish, Indian and Mexican. Not only that, but eating out is fairly cheap throughout. The Old Town is the best place for tapas – the streets are dotted with traditional places which usually have good deals on shared platters and a bottle of wine. If you're travelling with a family, look out for some of the many English-speaking pubs, where you can often find generous portions at very reasonable prices.
Once you've made a cash-friendly itinerary, consider one of our Benidorm airport transfers. We offer all kinds of options, from shared shuttle buses to private cars that'll pick you up and drop you off safely and reliably.
