You won’t need an autopilot to find this hotel

The Heathrow Arora is easy to spot and has been built on the Bath Road strip, an area intended for Heathrow hotels that runs parallel to the airport. It’s right in the middle, near the access to Terminal 1. You shouldn’t have any trouble getting to the hotel by car, while free transfers run to the hotel from the airport.

By car: Leave the M25 at junction 15 for the M4 and travel east towards London. Leave the M4 at junction 3 and travel south on the A312, following signs for Heathrow. At the first roundabout - the Jolly Waggoners – take the third exit turning right onto the A4 Bath Road. Continue for about two miles and the hotel is on your right and easily visible with the Arora ‘A’ and Smith’s restaurant signs. At night the hotel is brightly lit in green and blue.

By public transport: The Heathrow Express train from London Paddington will take you to any of the terminals. For the Arora terminals 1 and 3 are best and the free 75, 76 or U3 bus runs to the hotel. From Terminal 5, you need route 423. If you’re going to Terminal 4, take the bus to terminals 1 and 3 and then use the free Heathrow Express shuttle train.

On the other hand, you can pay to take the Heathrow Hoppa bus from outside the terminals and will take you – on request – to the Arora Hotel. You must tell the driver you want to go there. The cost is £4 for adults when booked in advance, and children ride free. It’s £4.50 if you buy from the driver. From Terminals 1 and 3 it’s the H4 or H5 Hoppa, for Terminals 4 and 5 it’s the H53. The Hoppa runs from 4.30am to around 11.30pm or midnight. There is a Heathrow Hoppa ticket machine in the Arora lobby.
