Shamrock Palma hosts live acts that span a wide range of musical genres. Depending on which night you visit, you might hear Motown-era soul, rock 'n' roll, indie/alternative, reggae, funk or straight-ahead rock. A little further up the coast, Alcúdia's Jolly Roger is another fine drinking establishment.

Eating out

Spain is famous for its tapas, a delicious appetiser that is widely available on the island – at Ombu in Palma, for example, is a very popular and highly rated eatery. You may need to book in advance but if you yearn for some award-winning, contemporary Majorcan fare, head to Restaurant Santi Taura in Lloseta. For a mix of Spanish, Mediterranean and European flavours, Zaranda in Es Capdellà will more than likely satisfy your taste buds.
