The characters and where to meet them varies depending on when you visit. The best way to keep up to date with who you can meet is by downloading the Disneyland Paris app, or by visiting the website.

Here are just some of the many loveable Disney icons you can meet at the parks...

Disney Princesses

Princesses at Disneyland Paris

Head to the Princess Pavillion in Fantasyland for an unforgettable experience with your favourite Disney Princess, who can't wait to see you. Princesses you can meet include Belle, Aurora, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana, Snow White and Ariel, with different princesses occupying the royal pavilion depending on when you go.

They all love to have a chat and answer any questions you may have. Merida can teach you a thing or two about archery, Belle is sure to have some great book recommendations and why not ask whether Ariel prefers living on the land or in the sea?

Your storybook moment awaits! Head to La Chaumière des Sept Nains beforehand and shop for the perfect prince and princess attire, add some sparkle with princess-themed face painting at Sir Mickey's Boutique and take a priceless selfie with a real Disney princess.

Mickey, Minnie & friends

Classic Disney characters can't wait to welcome you to the park. As soon as you arrive through the arches at Main Street Station, look back up at the balcony - Mickey, Minnie and their friends will be there to greet you for the perfect start to your day. They'll also be there at the end of the day to wave goodbye!

Mickey will be more than happy to welcome you backstage at his theatre in Fantasyland between shows. Ask him to show you a magic trick, and find out what his favourite props and costumes are for his performances.

You'll also be able to meet Minnie and the likes of Donald, Goofy, Pluto and Daisy at various locations across the park depending on when you visit. They're a playful bunch, so why not ask to play a game? They'd love to sign your autograph book too, and will take a picture with you if you ask politely.

The Avengers

RSpiderman, Disneyland Paris

Will you be the next Avenger to save the world?

At Walt Disney Studios Park you'll find the Hero Training Centre, a facility designed by Tony Stark, where legendary Marvel superheroes will teach you all their best moves and set you on your way to becoming a hero in the making.

An on-duty Avenger will be on hand to help you learn superhuman abilities – you could be taught by Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and more! Make sure you use the mobile app to book your place on the day of your visit.

Ask the Avenger about their legendary battles, how they got their powers and what it takes to be a hero.

Disney villains

Maleficent, Disneyland Paris

If you're feeling brave, the best time to have a mischievous encounter with a dastardly Disney villain is during the Disney Halloween Festival. At the festival, wicked characters like Jafar, the Queen of Hearts and Maleficent take over the parks and create a ghoulish atmosphere filled with scarily-fun encounters.

See what happens when you say 'tick tock' to Captain Hook – he won't like that one bit! Or why not ask Cruella de Vil what she thinks about her villainous theme song, or the Evil Queen who is the fairest of them all?

Best time to visit Disneyland Paris

This magical wonderland of Disney fun goes through lots of colourful changes throughout the year, from the ghoulish atmosphere of the Halloween Festival to the snow-capped Enchanted Christmas celebrations.

Star Wars heroes & villains

Out-of-this-world encounters await at the Starport in Discoveryland, where you might meet an intergalactic character from the Star Wars universe, like Chewbacca, Kylo Ren or Rey.

Be careful entering the Starport, as an infamous Sith Lord has been known to patrol these parts turning passersby to the dark side. Meet Darth Vader himself and see if you can hold your nerve like a true Jedi.

Woody, Buzz Lightyear & friends

If shes not out on an adventure, the bravest cowgirl of them all Jessie could be around to meet you, or maybe you'll bump into the intergalactic space ranger Buzz Lightyear – ask him if he is in Spanish mode and he might surprise you with some flamenco dance moves!
