Top five things to see and do in Tenerife

For holidaymakers, any day of the week in Benidorm can feel like it's part of the weekend. Nevertheless, there are certain activities that seem perfectly suited to this much-anticipated part of the week. As you consider your Costa Blanca itinerary, don't forget to organise transfer from the airport to your destination. Our airport transfers, have been created to get you to your resort as cheaply and hassle-free as possible.

1. Be a good sport

A great way to start the weekend is by demonstrating your sporting skills. Benidorm affords many, many energetic options, from the simple joys of miniature golf and footgolf, for example, to more strenuous activities such as cable skiing and sea kayaking.

2. Recharge your batteries

If you return to your hotel with tired muscles, a shower and a spot of lunch will almost certainly help to revive you. Even better: do as the Spanish do and enjoy a siesta, which is a particularly good idea during very hot days.

3. A walk on the mild side

Feeling refreshed? Good. Now that the sunshine is not quite so intense, it would be a good time to meander around the city, perhaps take in the charming Old Town or stroll along West Beach Promenade. A nice walk will soon have you in the mood to enjoy the evening's activities.

4. Eat well

If you've planned a long night of entertainment, it's a good idea to make sure you have a good meal first. Benidorm has a wide range of eateries that cater for all types of taste buds. You'll find plenty of places that offer traditional Spanish fare, for instance, a wide choice of British-style establishments and a good number of Asian restaurants, too.

5. Bubbly Benidorm

Benidorm is well known for its celebratory ambience. When it comes to choosing an evening activity in this part of the world, there are a lot of options. Perhaps you might like to channel your suave side with a night at the casino? One of the city's most popular venues is Casino Mediterraneo, while Galera Café Casino and Salón de Juegos Bali rate well, too.

In a similarly sophisticated vein, a champagne reception with best friends in a reserved part of a terrace that provides glorious sunset views is sure to make for a night to remember.

For many, however, Benidorm means dancing the night away to a succession of banging club tunes. To that end, you could try Jokers or Planet Benidorm. Or, Pepe's Bar or KM Playa. Or… really, you won't encounter any problems finding somewhere to let off a bit of steam.
