Ride the mini train to the beaches

Cala d'Or is well known for its delightful sandy coves, and by hopping on the mini train that runs through the town you can visit whichever beach you like with ease. Consider starting early if you're coming in peak season in order to fully appreciate the golden sands before the crowds arrive.

Do some water activities

There are lots of ways to make the most of the crystal clear waters of Cala d'Or. You can take part in relatively relaxed water activities such as paddle boarding or kayaking, or if you're feeling adventurous, have a go at water-skiing or ride a jet-ski. Snorkelling is another fun way to appreciate the rich sea-life that can be found in the Mediterranean.

There are some great places to visit in Cala d'Or, from the old 18th-century fort, Es forti, with its numerous cannons and loopholes, to the Parc Natural de Mondrago. This nature reserve has white sandy beaches and a wetlands area featuring a variety of migratory birds.

Eat out at a nice restaurant

Aquarius is great for some local seafood, while La Bodega in the main square offers a range of tasty tapas dishes.

Go on an excursion
