Top Beaches in Costa Adeje
Tenerife is abundant with riches when it comes to its beaches – and many of the very best are located in Costa Adeje. Playa del Duque
Just a hop, skip and a jump from La Caleta, a delightful fishing village, is Playa del Duque, a golden-sanded expanse that is lapped by the warm turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Here, you can sunbathe or swim to your heart's content but if you ever fancy a change, there's an invigorating walk to be had along the nearby cliffs.
Playa Fañabé and Playa Torviscas
Head in the direction of Playa de las Américas from Playa del Duque and you'll come across Playa Fañabé and Playa Torviscas. Either of these fine beaches is a great place to settle for the day, not least because there are a wide variety of bars, cafés, restaurants and sundry shops nearby, dotted along a wide, welcoming promenade.
Playa de la Pinta
Continue in an easterly direction and you'll find the small but perfectly formed Playa de la Pinta. This beach is located by Puerto Colón a sizeable port that is perfect for chartering a boat or indulging in all manner of water sports. This part of the coastline features a modestly sized shopping centre, too, which comes complete with its own cafés and restaurants.
Playa del Bobo
Next up is Playa del Bobo, which might suit visitors that enjoy a little more peace and quiet. This beach tends not to attract so many families as others and – since it doesn't have any water sports facilities – barely any adrenaline junkies. Consequently, it's especially safe for kids that want to paddle or swim in the sea, unfettered by jet skis and the like.
Playa de Troya
A little further along the coast is Playa de Troya, a popular beach in the wider Playa de Las Americas resort area. Space can sometimes be at a premium so it might be a good idea to arrive early to claim your spot. Many of Las Americas' most popular bars, cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance, as are a number of popular nightclubs.
