Close to Alicante

With Alicante as your jumping off point, there are plenty of chances to journey out to the charming beach resorts in the surrounding areas. A tram or bus takes about 35 minutes to reach Villajoyosa, a historic town dotted with colourful villas. It's known for its chocolate making industry, so as well as relaxing by its calm waters, remember to keep an eye out for the local brand – Valor.

El Campello is also nearby – just a short tram ride away. The resort boasts a whopping 23km of pure, golden sand as well as the Paseo del Mar, a 2-mile long promenade – perfect for watching the dazzling sunsets.
