Tips For Travelling Alone in Tenerife

Are you considering a romantic vacation in Costa Adeje? If so, our airport transfers will get you from the airport to your hotel with the minimum of fuss.

In no particular order, we present Costa Adeje's top five attractions for couples.

Parque Nacional del Teide

Handily, the southernmost point of this sprawling national park (which covers roughly 118 square miles) overlaps with parts of Adeje. If you and your other half enjoy wide open spaces, natural beauty and awesome geological sights, this UNESCO World Heritage Site should definitely be on your list of places to visit. Not only is it home to Spain's highest peak, Mount Teide – which is also the third tallest volcano in the world, it features Roque Cinchado, a most unusual rock formation.

Siam Park

One of the world's finest water parks is located in the very heart of Adeje. Siam Park hosts rides galore, white-knuckle attractions, its very own beach, numerous pools and much more. The theme of this park, as the name suggests, is the architecture of traditional Thailand.

Barranco del Infierno

Much like Mount Teide and its environs, Barranco del Infierno is a great place to visit. This is particularly the case if you and your partner enjoy putting on a sturdy, comfortable pair of walking boots and embarking on a challenging trek. This lush, green oasis is dominated by a stunning ravine, features a waterfall and is a lot more appealing than its English translation, Hell's Gorge, makes it sound. Barranco del Infierno is also the only place on the island where you'll find a source of natural running water.

Any visit to Costa Adeje that doesn't take in at least one of its many beautiful beaches would be a missed opportunity. Here are three of the best that couples should check out…

Playa del Duque

One of the island's most upmarket beaches, Playa del Duque is nestled within a small bay, its pale sands banked by the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and elegant cafés, bistros and bars on the other.

Playa de Fañabé and Playa Torviscas

These two beaches serve to provide a long, long stretch of golden-sanded delight, and make a good spot to pitch up if you want to take advantage of some lively nightlife. As well as clubs and live music venues, you'll discover many appealing bars, cafés and restaurants. Be sure to catch one of Tenerife's fabulous sunsets here, too.
