The hotel is family-run, cosy and set in 7 acres of beautiful grounds. The friendly staff at the Skylark will go above and beyond to make your stay idyllic. You can relax in your well-equipped room or treat yourself to a delicious meal and a pre-holiday drink in the Pegasus Restaurant. The menu is extensive so you will be spoilt for choice, especially as it's renowned for serving the best steak in the town. The rooms and suites are stylish and all include a flat screen TV and Internet. Double, twin, triple and family rooms are available so the hotel caters for any type of traveller, all have their own bathroom.
At just 5 minutes from Southend Airport, the Skylark Hotel is an ideal choice for those who want to start their holiday feeling as light as a feather. When you are ready to set off for the airport, the hotel staff will arrange your taxi and whilst you are away you can rest easy knowing your car is parked safely. The taxi will pick you up upon your return and only costs £9 each way.
The hotel was easy to find with the satnav. The room was clean and comfortable and the receptionist was very friendly and efficient. The only fault was the hall carpet which was quite old and scruffy. But that's a fairly minor point.
