Seasonal Activities In Majorca

What to do in Majorca depends on what time of year you're travelling. We've got some ideas for seasonal activities in Majorca, so read on. Before you make up your mind, book your airport transfers. With Holiday Extras, you can choose a private car, shuttle or shared bus to reach destinations across Spain.

Spring

Cycling is very popular in Majorca during spring. The weather is warm, but not as sizzling as the summer months, so you can expect the occasional cool breeze as you zoom along. The coastal route of Palma to Es Arenal should be enough to get you started. Spring also marks the beginning of the season, so the island's beach clubs start to open. You can spend the day with a few cocktails or enjoy DJs well into the night.

Summer

With the best weather of the year – high temperatures, warm seas and hardly any precipitation – summer in Majorca is perfect for exploring the beaches. There are 262 on the island, so you'll find one that has just what you want from a shore. Try Playa de Palma for a bustling atmosphere or seek out Cala Estellencs for a secluded spot with stunning sunsets.

Autumn

The off-season months are great for discovering Majorca. It's often still warm enough to stroll around, so visit some markets: Mercat de l'Olivar in Palma has fresh fish, truffles and olives in autumn, while Pollença's Sunday market is a popular one. Now is also a good time of year for some hiking. Take on one of Majorca's highest peaks, Puig de Massanella, for stunning views and natural wildlife.

Winter

When temperatures fall and there's more chance of wind and rain, there's still a lot to do in Majorca. Winter in Majorca has a few festivals you can enjoy: there's Sant Antoni (16-17 Jan) and Sant Sebastià (Palma, 12-21 Jan), as well as February's Almond Fair in Son Servera. If you're feeling luxurious, treat yourself to a spa day – there are loads across the island including Steigenberger Golf & Spa Resort in Camp de Mar and Valparaíso Palace Spa in Palma.

We don't mind what time of year you visit the island, as we'll be around with our Majorca airport transfers. Our drivers can meet you off the plane and take you straight to your accommodation safely and reliably.
