AA adds flights to Florida's capital
American Airlines will launch new flights between Miami and Tallahassee, Florida next year.
American Airlines (AA) has announced that it will launch new flights from Miami international airport to Tallahassee, Florida on March 2nd 2008.
The service will be operated by the carrier's regional affiliate, American Eagle.
Flights will run twice daily using Embraer 140 jets capable of seating 44 passengers.
Peter J Dolara, AA's senior vice-president for Miami, Caribbean and Latin America, said that the new route will be important for travel within the state of Florida and also as a connection to international destinations.
"This new service is something our passengers have been asking for. Connecting these two communities is proof of our ongoing commitment to increase service from our Miami hub," he said.
"It will also offer passengers from north Florida the ability to connect to destinations throughout the US, Caribbean, Latin America and Europe."
On December 13th American Airlines will launch non-stop flights from Miami to Barranquilla, Colombia and Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
