Bmi Regional Ups Aberdeen Flights
UK carrier bmi regional has revealed that it is expanding its route between Manchester and Aberdeen.
From September 3rd, the airline will add an extra daily return flight between the two cities.
This means that bmi regional will offer 14 flights a day between Manchester and the Scottish hub.
In addition, the airline plans to readjust the timing of flights from Manchester to Edinburgh and Glasgow to make it easier for passengers to make onwards connections.
The routes will be operated by modern Embraer jet aircraft and bmi regional passengers can benefit from complimentary in-flight refreshments and a famously punctual service.
Aberdeen Airport's managing director, Kevin Brown, welcomed the announcement, saying: "bmi regional has shown great commitment to its customers in the north-east of Scotland by increasing its service to Manchester, making it the best-served UK destination from Aberdeen."
Peter Kenworthy, commercial director of bmi regional, added: "We are also confident that timetable improvements between Manchester and Edinburgh and Glasgow will be popular with travellers, which together with our full service offering gives us a unique advantage over our competitor on the routes."
The airline also flies to a large number of popular holiday destinations from Manchester, including Barbados, Cairo and Copenhagen.
