Fly to Las Vegas

A new hotel, the Palazzo Las Vegas, has opened on the Las Vegas Strip, the first hotel to open there in almost three years.

The new $1.9 billion resort hotel is the sister hotel to The Venetian in Las Vegas. "As we began the design and development of The Venetian in 1995 we always envisioned a second property that would complement and work in unison with the Sands Expo Centre to provide the most unique and varied destination resort experience anywhere in the world," says chairman of Las Vegas Sands Corp, Sheldon Adelson.

The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas provides a luxurious new option for anyone planning a holiday to Las Vegas. The new hotel has 3,000 suites and an extensive shopping area featuring Barneys New York plus another 20 stores and luxury brands not seen before in Las Vegas including Chloe, Van Cleef & Arpels and Diane Von Furstenberg.

Lovers of fine dining are also in for a treat with a variety of cuisines on offer from celebrity chefs. Restaurants at The Palazzo include CarneVino from Mario Batali, Cut from Wolfgang Puck, Table 10 from Emeril Lagasse, and Restaurant Charlie from Charlie Trotter.

For anyone contemplating a spa holiday in Las Vegas, The Palazzo also has the largest Canyon Ranch SpaClub in the world. And car lovers are sure to be enticed by the first Lamborghini dealership on the Las Vegas Strip.

Focal point of the opening weekend celebrations at The Palazzo will be a star-studded concert, Luminaries and Legends, presented in association with Imperia Vodka. The concert will feature performances by Diana Ross, Seal, Andy Garcia & The Cineson All-Stars, and the cast of hit Broadway musical, Jersey Boys.

Airlines offering flights to Las Vegas from the UK include Virgin Atlantic from Gatwick, My Travel Airways and bmi from Manchester airport, and Flyglobespan from Glasgow airport.
