Places to visit in Cardiff

Cardiff has some great sight-seeing options. The Edwardian civic buildings and historic Cardiff Castle offer an insight into the city’s culture. The National Museum holds Wales' national archaeology, art, geology and natural history collections and Cardiff is home to the Millennium Stadium- one of the UK’s best event and sporting venues. Cardiff city centre is fantastic for shopping. The area is divided by arcades, with some dating back to the Edwardian times. Each arcade contains small independent stores selling vintage clothing, Welsh gifts, homewares, unique jewellery, food and much more. Queen Street is Cardiff’s main shopping street and has many popular high street shops.
On the waterfront in the heart of Cardiff Bay is Mermaid Quay, which has a brilliant range of shops, restaurants and bars. The Queens Arcade and St David’s Dewi Sant shopping centres are where you’ll find designer brands and even more popular high street shops. There is something for everyone and both shopping centres are undercover.
