The hotel's Waterfront restaurant serves a combination of French and English food from noon to 2.30pm and 6pm to 10pm. A set menu will cost you £14.95. Otherwise, you could have locally-caught seafood chowder for £4.70 to start, grilled Romney Marsh lamb cutlets for £18.95 for your main and banana fritters with ice cream and butterscotch sauce for £4.95 to finish.

Every Thursday is Bombay night, with an Indian buffet, talks by the chefs about the food and a pianist, for £16.95. On Sundays there's a carvery, when it's £15.95 for two courses or £17.95 for three.

If you'd prefer a lighter meal, the hotel bar serves food from 11am to midnight, with prices starting from £6.95, along with a selection of wines, beers and cocktails.
