Low-cost airline, which is based at Leeds Bradford airport, has been named a finalist in the Best Airline category at the Customers' Awards 2010. flies from seven UK airports to 50 destinations, most of them in continental Europe. Outside Europe it flies to New York, the Canary Islands, Madeira, Tunisia, Egypt and Israel. It also runs a twice-weekly service between Belfast International airport and Newquay airport in Cornwall, provides charter flights and runs mail flights for Royal Mail.

The ticketless airline started life in 1978 under the name Channel Express, becoming Jet 2 in 2003. It carried around three million passengers last year and offers a loyalty scheme, which has around 250,000 members. Its sister company,, was launched in 2007 and offers package holidays which combine hotel accommodation with flights.

The airline has a very strong presence in the north of England, and at one time its site was the most visited retail website in the north. The website has a low fare finder tool which shows you prices for every day in the month, so you can choose the cheapest day on which to travel.
