Need to know

Drive into the car photo booth and your car is scanned in a few seconds for security. Park in the arrivals lane, unload your bags and head to reception to check in and drop off your keys.

Use the self-service machines to check in and grab your ticket – you'll need this for both ends of your trip, so keep it safe.

While you wait, there's a heated area with coffee and free wifi. Buses run regularly, 24 hours a day, and take around 14 minutes. They're included in the price. Try to allow about 40 minutes total to park and transfer – a bit longer during rush hour between 4am and 8am. The team's well practised, so it all runs smoothly.

When you're back, catch the shuttle, pick up your keys from the locker, and you're good to go.

The small print

If you're heading back early, give the parking team as much notice as possible – they'll aim to have your car ready for you.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they are less than 2m wide x 2.1m high x 5m long. The car park cannot accept any high-sided vehicles, minibuses, mobile homes, lorries, caravans, trailers or vehicles larger than the above maximum dimensions. Vehicles with a taxi license plate can be parked on-site, but cannot use the Return Greet or Meet and Greet services.

Travelling with bulky gear? Best to drop it off with passengers at the terminal before heading to the car park – the shuttle can't carry large sporting equipment.

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20 per day. This is subject to change.

Getting to and from Luton airport

Arriving at the car park

Drive straight into the car photo booth at the car park, which scans your car for reference and protection (this takes no more than 5 seconds). Park in the arrivals lane and check in using one of the machines, which will give you a ticket. You'll also get a tag which you need to attach to your keys.

Drop your keys into the key-drop box outside reception – make sure you put them in the correct box for your lane number – and catch the shuttle bus to the terminal.

The bus is included in the price and runs regularly, 24 hours a day. The journey takes around 14 minutes, plus there's free wifi on board! Your car will be parked for you while you make your way to the terminal.

Returning to the car park

When you return catch the shuttle bus back to the car park – you'll need to show the driver your ticket you got on your arrival.

Head to the check-out shelter and follow the instructions on the key dispenser – it'll return your keys and tell you where your car is parked.

On your way out, just insert your ticket into the exit barrier and wait for it to lift. Don't worry if you lose your ticket– just take your photo ID to reception and answer some security questions.
