Heathrow T3 a success for Virgin

Virgin Atlantic has announced exceptional customer feedback and performance results for its new Heathrow terminal which opened in December 2007.

Over 83% of passengers using the revamped terminal rated their experience as Excellent or Good, according to Virgin's own customer satisfaction survey and an independent research report commissioned by the airline.

The company has already met its target of 80% of economy travellers checking in online or via kiosk, some eight months ahead of schedule. Virgin also says that passengers can now clear check-in and security in a matter of minutes.

The Upper Class Wing has been particularly popular, with 98% of passengers rating it as Excellent or Good. Facilities include a private security corridor to transport premier passengers from their limos and a luxury Clubhouse.

Virgin Atlantic currently operates 160 long-haul flights a week from Heathrow. BAA plans to spend £1 billion on Terminal 3 over the next ten years.

Travellers fancying a bit of luxury themselves can book meet and greet parking at Heathrow airport. The official heathrow airport valet parking service means your driver will meet you at the terminal and park your car for you. All you have to worry about is checking in. On your return your chauffeur will bring your car to the terminal ready for you to load up and drive home.
