Bristol linked to Toronto

Flyglobespan has announced flights from Bristol to Toronto from May 2008.

Flyglobespan has announced that it will begin weekly flights from Bristol airport to Toronto from May next year.

The connection will open on May 26th, with services leaving Bristol every Monday to land at Toronto's Hamilton airport.

Tony Hallwood, Bristol's aviation development director, said the confirmation of a second transatlantic service from the south-west hub was "fantastic news".

The new route is expected to be widely used as Canada is one of the most popular destinations with Bristol passengers, Mr Hallwood said.

Flyglobespan chairman Tom Dalrymple commented: "We are delighted to be offering passengers from Bristol this flight to Toronto.

"We know the market in Canada very well and this knowledge, combined with our ability to offer great fares, gives us a great product that I think will be well-received by our customers."
