Northern Ireland gets Ibiza link

Low-cost carrier easyJet has launched a new service between Belfast International Airport and the summer party island of Ibiza.

The new flight is designed for people planning on flying to the White Island to enjoy a summer of clubbing, parties or relaxation. The route will operate until September 8th and will let people from Northern Island easily and cheaply reach Ibiza.

easyJet explained that Ibiza offers something for everybody - from world-famous clubs to secluded villas and unspoilt beaches.

Fares to Ibiza start at around £49.99 return (including taxes and charges) and the airline expects the route to prove popular.

"The introduction of Ibiza is great news for the sun-seekers of Northern Ireland and is the second new route from Belfast in the last three months, which represents the potential for further development from the region," commented Paul Cable, easyJet's marketing manager.

"Ibiza is the latest in easyJet choice of summer sun routes, which also include Alicante, Palma, Nice, Malaga and Faro."

Famous clubs on the island, like Privilege, Eden, Pasha and Space play host to some of the biggest DJs in the world over the summer months.
