New flights to Canada

A tour operator has decided to offer flights between the UK and New Brunswick for the first time.

Canadian Affair is the UK's largest tour operator to Canada and the company said that the service to the New Brunswick's capital city of Fredericton is the first of its kind.

The service is due to launch on May 7th 2008 and one-way tickets could cost as little as £99 including taxes and charges.

Flights will operate on a weekly basis and Anette Rayner, Canadian Affair's managing director, said that the new service would give people the chance to explore a fascinating area of the world.

"The introduction of the UK's first-ever direct service to New Brunswick will open up new areas of Canada’s Atlantic coast to British travellers," she explained.

"It will also add to our existing flight schedule into the region, which currently offers a twice-weekly service to Halifax, Nova Scotia."

New Brunswick offers visitors unspoilt scenery, hundreds of miles of coastal roads and some of the most impressive maritime history in the country.
