Wizz Air service to Transylvania

Wizz Air has announced that is will offer a service from the UK to the Transylvanian region of Romania.

Recently, the airline has launched a number of new services from the UK, including flights from Liverpool to Bucharest and Glasgow Prestwick to Katowice.

Now, it will offer flights between Luton and Tirgu Mures three times a week.

The new service is set to begin on October 30th and depart from Luton on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 06:00.

Return services from the Romanian city will leave at 11:15 local time and arrive back in the UK at 12:25.

While famed as the home of the infamous Count Dracula, Transylvania now boasts numerous tourist attractions.

Many cities in the region have a vibrant cafe culture and also often have good quality street performers and entertainment.

In addition, one city in the area, Sibiu, was designated European Capital of Culture for the year 2007 together with Luxembourg.
