Tea 'vital' for British holidaymakers

A new study has revealed the facilities and comforts that Brits really want when they go on holiday.

Data gathered by Phoenix Marketing International found that 77 per cent of people from the UK said that having tea and coffee-making facilities in their hotel room was their greatest desire.

Two thirds (66 per cent) said that a bathtub was vitally important to them enjoying themselves while on holiday.

While away, people from the UK also want to remain healthy, as 65 per cent said they always request a hotel room that is non-smoking. Similarly, three times as many Britons wanted to book a hotel only if it had a gym, when compared to people from other nations.

The survey also revealed that British travellers are becoming increasingly adventurous with their holidays. Over three quarters (77 per cent) of the British holidaymakers questioned said they love travelling to "new and exciting destinations
