London voted top for transport
London is seen as the best city in the world for public transport, according to a new survey.
In a poll by holiday review site TripAdvisor, the English capital was rated above the world's other major cities for public transportation for the second year running.
London also topped the list for having the safest public transport system, the best subway or Metro network and the best taxis.
It was not all good news for the metropolis however, as it was also named the most expensive city for travel.
Michelle Perry, TripAdvisor communications director, said: "It's proof that even when it comes to riding a bus or a subway, you get what you pay for."
New York came second in the list of cities offering high-quality public transport, while its west coast counterpart Los Angeles was found to have the worst transportation system.
