Travellers flying from Heathrow's Terminal 5 can escape from the last-minute stresses and strains before flying by visiting the newly-opened Be Relax spa.

Tailored to meet the needs and requirements of travellers, the spa offers a range of treatments, from quick-fix lifts to extended sessions of 'me time', such as massage, manicures and oxygen therapy.

The launch of Be Relax at Heathrow marks the French firm's plans to establish itself in the UK. An expert in beauty and relaxation services at the airport, it currently has operations in 10 European airports.

Nicolas Briest, managing director of Be Relax, said: "We are delighted to be launching Be Relax at Heathrow, one of the world's busiest and best-connected international airports. Carried out by trained therapists, our express holiday services offer great value for money and will appeal as much to the tired business traveller as those looking for a way to relax and unwind before the journey ahead."

Mark Jennings, head of fashion and well-being at Heathrow, said: "Be Relax is the ideal stop-off for those who haven't had time to prepare before their holiday or simply want to indulge in some pre-travel pampering. With a clear understanding of the time constraints, the relaxation centre will deliver a service that works in harmony with passengers' needs and meets our long-term commitment of making every journey better."

The new Be Relax spa is located in the airport's satellite terminal, Terminal 5B.
