Skiing holidays for single parent families

A skiing holiday with guaranteed snow is available this half term aimed at single parent families.

Departing from Heathrow airport on February 14th with airline Finnair, the holiday is in the resort of Levi in Finnish Lapland north of the Arctic Circle. Price for seven nights half board at the Hotel Levitunturi with single parent holidays specialist Small Families is £996 for adults and £845 for children under 12.

Included in the price is return air fares and taxes, transfers, breakfast and dinner, ski hat for children, a supervised children’s playtime each evening and the services of a Small Families host throughout the holiday. The hotel has a crèche and child minding services.

The skiing resort of Levi offers 45 prepared runs and is suitable for beginners and improvers as well as having a number of interesting runs for more experienced skiers.

Non-skiers are also well catered for with facilities at the Hotel Levitunturi including a spa treatment centre, gym, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and swimming pool as well as other sports including tennis, basketball, volleyball and floor hockey. After dinner entertainment includes music and dancing.

Outside the hotel lots of other activities can be enjoyed such as cross-country skiing, husky sledding and snowmobiling. And if you’re lucky you may even get to enjoy the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Northern Lights.

Scheduled flights from Heathrow with Finnair to Kittila in Finnish Lapland via Helsinki take three hours 40 minutes. Flights are also available from Manchester airport with no supplements.

The resort of Levi is about 200km north of the Arctic Circle and is approximately 20 minutes away from the airport at Kittila.

Tour operator Small Families was launched in 2002 to provide holidays for single parent families. The company provides escorted group holidays with a full-time holiday host enabling adults and children to enjoy the company of others on their holiday.
