A new route from Blackpool airport to Menorca has been announced.
Leading low cost airline Jet2.com have launched their new Summer 2009 schedule going on sale today.
New flights to the Balearic island of Menorca will start 19 June 2009 and operate once a week, taking approximately two hours. The introduction of this new route increases the total number of European destinations served from the North West base up to ten.
Direct flights from Blackpool to Menorca means the regions jet setters can now enjoy regular and efficient flights at a low cost. On their doorstop is an easy gateway to the beautiful island, which lies in the Mediterranean sea. Clear blue waters, unspoilt, quiet, picturesque beaches make for an ideal holiday location.
Menorca is the latest destination to be added to Jet2.com's flights departing from Blackpool. The airline already flies to many wonderful destinations such as Alicante, Faro, Ibiza, Majorca, Malaga, Murcia and Tenerife, as well as ski destination Geneva and the city of Belfast from Blackpool. The airport's popularity is growing and with an increasing selection of locations on offer, it is a highly attractive place to fly from.
