Titus Johnson, Air Berlin's country manager for the UK and Ireland, commented: "Munich will be our eighth link into Germany from Stansted and joins a network that includes direct connections to Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hanover, Leipzig, Munster, Nuremberg and Paderborn."

He went on to say that travellers will be able to connect to further destinations in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, north Africa and others.
