"We took the decision to introduce services from Luton to Larnaca, Paphos and Sharm-El-Sheikh in response to huge customer demand from the North London area," says XL.com managing director, Martin Lock.

Luton airport marketing director, Natalie Raper, says: "We have now added 21 new routes this year meaning that there is always somewhere different for our customers to visit".

XL Airways operates scheduled and charter flights to destinations in Europe, the Caribbean, North America and North Africa.
