Airport baggage transit

First Luggage has a Fathers Day gift that means dad doesn't have to lug bags to the airport, check them in and wait at the baggage carousel to collect them.

The company, which was recently recognised as one of the top 10 most promising businesses in the UK, offers a door-to-door luggage collection service delivering items to your hotel, holiday villa or apartment.

Prices for the service start from £79 depending on the destination and all sizes of luggage can be collected and delivered including outsize items such as golf clubs or skis. Baggage is collected from the home or office before the day of departure and for the return trip is picked up on the last day of the holiday. First Luggage also claims that unlike airlines it tracks baggage a minimum of six times during transit.

The service operates throughout Europe, North America, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand. First Luggage has attracted official ambassadors, including actress Joan Collins, veteran British travel journalist Alan Whicker, and socialite and journalist Normandie Keith.

The company says that its service helps give families a stress free holiday and makes a great gift for Fathers Day. Advantages of using the service include avoiding the panic of last minute packing, missing long queues at check in, and not having to worry about lost luggage, excess baggage charges, or 'stealth charges' being introduced by airports and low cost airlines.
