UK snow warning

The UK Met Office has issued a yellow warning of snow for much of the country this week, which may disrupt travel.

Snow with the potential to disrupt local travel fell across Scotland on Sunday night and much of England on Monday; and below-freezing temperatures overnight are causing minor disruptions to road and rail travel on Wednesday morning.

Snow and ice warnings are in place until 10am-12pm on Weds 20th for:

  • Wales
  • West Midlands
  • Highlands & Eilean Siar
  • SW Scotland, Lothian Borders
  • Strathclyde
  • Northern Ireland
  • East Midlands
  • East of England
  • North East England
  • Yorkshire & Humber
  • London & South East England
  • North West England
  • South West England
  • Central, Tayside & Fife
  • Grampian
  • Orkney & Shetland

There is a small chance of disruption to local travel, including disruptions to road, rail and bus routes.
