Tips for Samsung Note 8 users

Use the camera shortcut - Double tapping the standby button will automatically activate the camera even is the phone is locked. This feature is not only handy for taking quick impromptu snaps, but also reduces the risk of dropping the phone when trying to access the camera, as it's a lot less fiddly. To active the quick launch camera feature, go to settings > Advanced features > Quick launch camera.

Make use of the security features - The Galaxy note 8 sports some impressive security features like the fingerprint scanner as well as facial and iris recognition functionality. These advanced security features will take a few minutes to set up but are invaluable for keeping your device hack-proof, should it ever be stolen.

Turn on one-handed mode - With it's 6.3-inch display, the Note 8 is truly a beast of a phone, requiring two-hands to use. Luckily, samsung have provided a one-handed mode, which shrinks the on-screen resolution to allow for ease of use with just one hand. Naturally this feature reduces the risk of drops when using the device one-handed. Be warned however, that reaching the unlock button on the Note 8 is almost impossible without shifting your grip on the phone. In this instance, you'll always want to use both hands when unlocking the phone, to reduce the likelihood of a drop.
