Coronavirus, Mexico and Travel Insurance

Following the outbreak of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, around the world, Mexican authorities have confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country. The government has introduced measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Mexico, so people entering the country can expect the following;

  • Additional screening methods at land borders, airports and cruise terminals.

There are several steps that you can take to minimise your risk of contracting COVID-19;

  • Throughout the day, wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Spend at least 20 seconds doing so.
  • Use hand sanitiser to clean your hands after being out in public.
  • Cover your mouth and catch coughs and sneezes with a tissue.
  • Immediately throw away used tissues.
  • Keep your distance from anyone showing coronavirus symptoms.
  • If you display COVID-19 symptoms, contact NHS 111 straight away.
  • Stay up-to-date with governmental advice.
