Get ready for Hallowe’en during the Dark Arts feature. Explore iconic sets from the Harry Potter film series in a spookier setting as the lights are dimmed and the Studio Tour is prepared for Hallowe’en.

The Great Hall is filled with floating pumpkins, while Death Eaters and Dementors bring authentic costumes, choreography and duelling demonstrations to the experience.

Marvel at the imposing marble columns, discover costumes and prosthetics belonging to the goblin bankers, then enter the Lestrange Vault used to store the treasures of Bellatrix Lestrange including the Sword of Gryffindor and Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup.

Visitors can explore the wizarding shopping street and admire the beautifully crafted props in the shop windows.

Discover the Broomsticks at Quality Quidditch Supplies and piles of dusty wand boxes housed inside Ollivanders wand shop. You won't be able to miss the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes shop, which stands out as an explosion of orange in the middle of Diagon Alley.

PULL OUT A POTTED MANDRAKE

Built by the original Harry Potter filmmakers, the fan-favourite greenhouse is home to a variety of exotic and magical plants.

Just like a Herbology lesson with Professor Pomona Sprout, visitors to the Studio Tour can enter the greenhouse and try pulling out a potted Mandrake as part of an interactive display.

Authentic sets

Walk through locations including the Great Hall, Forbidden Forest, Diagon Alley, Gringotts Wizarding Bank and the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9¾.

Original props

Look closely at props including the Golden Snitch, the Puking Pastilles dispenser and the Chamber of Secrets door, along with details such as the 950 filled potion jars in the Potions classroom.

Costumes

See the embroidery and hidden details on costumes created for the films, including Quidditch uniforms and Yule Ball robes.

Special, visual and creature effects

Discover green-screen techniques used for Quidditch, the prosthetics that transformed actors into Gringotts goblins and the animatronics used to bring creatures such as Buckbeak to life.

Art Department

Explore technical drawings and white-card set models, then see the detailed Hogwarts castle model created by a team of 86 artists and crew members.

Photo opportunities

Take photographs in permitted areas and try selected green-screen experiences, including the opportunity to fly a broomstick. A photograph, DVD or USB recording of selected experiences may be available to purchase during your visit.
