Leeds Bradford International Airport has today announced the completion of a multi-million pound redevelopment scheme to improve car parking facilities and the terminal.

Phase One of the project included making improvements to access for the bus and airport shuttle which links the airport with regular services to Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate.

Phase Two of the £2 million scheme saw the implementation of a streamlined rapid pick-up and drop-off zone, a redevelopment of the short stay car park and improved pedestrian walkways.

The current developments at the airport represent the preliminary stages of its plan to invest £28 million in state-of-the-art facilities to improve the experience of business and leisure travellers from the airport.

Tony Hallwood, commercial and aviation development director at Leeds Bradford International Airport, said: "We are delighted that development has been completed ahead of the busy summer season.
