Find a holiday bargain at travel show

[January 26th 2009]

The Holiday & Travel Show provides the opportunity to grab a holiday bargain and discover holiday ideas.

Taking place from February 13th to 15th at the SECC in Glasgow, the Holiday & Travel Show should provide lots of inspiration for anyone unsure about their holiday plans. More than 80 countries will be represented at the show, giving visitors the chance to find out about new destinations and new types of holiday.

For example, if you’ve never tried a cruising holiday Fred Olsen will be on hand to give you a flavour of what a cruise is really like. The cruise line’s executive chef will give cookery demonstrations and a taste of some of the food served on board.

A new feature at the show this year is the Travel Temptations Zone. Here visitors will be able to experience at first hand the different cultures of the countries and regions represented at the show. Available to sample will be music, singing and dancing, art and craft displays, and food and wine tasting.

If you’re still stuck for ideas about where to go on holiday this year further inspiration can be found at the Travel Talk Theatre. Travel and holiday experts will give their own insights into particular regions and resorts, plus invaluable travel tips to help you make the most of your holiday.

“We are really excited about this year’s show as it is jam-packed full of different holiday offers and options, as well as having experts on hand to answer questions. The show is a great day out for the family and I believe a real opportunity to grab a fantastic holiday bargain,” says Holiday & Travel Shows managing director, John Fish.

Several exhibitors will be offering credit crunching holiday deals or free prize competitions. For example Anatolian Sky Holidays are offering two weeks for the price of one to beautiful North Cyprus and Turkey.

Children are well catered for at the show with face painting, sand pits to play in and family entertainment from Marco the Clown.

Tickets for the Holiday & Travel Show cost £8 for adults, £6 concessions and free for under-15s. The show is open from 10am to 5pm from February 13th to 15th.
