Royals holiday on Ibiza

While the Balearic island of Ibiza has a reputation as a hedonistic party destination, its miles of tranquil beaches also attract a more refined type of holidaymaker.

Indeed, Hello! Magazine reports that the eldest child of Princess Caroline of Monaco, Andrea Casiraghi, was recently spotted enjoying a calm beach holiday on the island.

According to the report, the Monegasque royal was seen holidaying on the island with long-term girlfriend Tatiana Santo Domingo.

And the pair certainly know a good holiday destination, as they have already visited the Mediterranean islands of Elba, Corsica and Sardinia this month.

Andrea Casiraghi has visited Ibiza every summer for the past seven years and introduced his girlfriend to the splendour of the White Island a couple of summers ago.

The Lonely Planet has this to say about the Balearic holiday destination: "It has fine beaches, relentless sunshine, good food and wild nightlife.

"Unlike many other glittering resort communities, however, Ibiza City is actually a living, breathing town with an interesting old quarter."
